Research Projects

In recent years there has been a growing interest for materials where quantum effects manifest in a wide range of energies and scales. Such materials are called quantum materials and include superconductors, graphene, topological, semi-metallic Weyl insulation, quantum spin liquids, and spin gels.

We plan to study the transport properties and optical response of quantum materials. For the later, we use the polarization rotation of waves transmitted (or reflected) in time-domain measurements.

Focused on spintronics and quantum materials, my research lines are:

  1. 1)Hall effects (quantum, spin) in multilayer systems,

  2. 2)Spin dynamics (drift, diffusion, SOIs) in semiconductor heterostructures,

  3. 3)Transport in topological insulators (2D, 3D, crystalline),

  4. 4)Other 2D materials: graphene, phosphorene, ...
