Research on Manganites

             Our interest in manganites, with general formula Ln_1-xM_xMnO₃;

Ln = rare-earth; M = Ba, Sr, Ca; are concentrated on three different aspects:

(1) A comprehensive understanding of the nature of the phase transitions occurring at different temperatures in these compounds;

(2) The study involving  the localization of the electrical current in an inhomogeneous ground state;

(3) The stabilization and nature of the charge ordered state.
